WEB, NOT WASTE

The Biennale involves a combined exhibition and competition, which is juried by a committee established for the event. In 2015 the Biennale for Crafts and Design took place at Carlsberg Byen in Copenhagen during August and the theme was Making is Connecting. Iben Høj exhibited a large wallhanging/installation piece titled Web, not Waste made of fine leftover threads from her garment production.The piece is knitted using a manual technique and several knitting machines, and consists of three layers in a variety of color shades.
