Museumsbygningen and Banja Rathnov Nelleman hosted a curated show of eight different agents from the world of design, art, photography and books. The focal point of the exhibition being the cross field between art and design and the technical fabrication, which gives an object the aesthetic finish – whether it is a design object, an artwork, a photograph or a book.
A number of the exhibiting artists and designers use traditional techniques and working methods in their designs
and thereby try to maintain the traditions of their craft whilst spreading the knowledge of art and design products of high artisanal quality. In this industrialized world where the production is often about quantity rather than quality, it seems relevant to focus on the handcrafted aspect of art and design.
